DAYCARE OUTREACH
The Yanadi Tribe is located on the outskirts of Bapatla and is comprised of people known as “untouchables” in the Indian society. Because of their social caste these villagers are quite poor, have low literacy levels, and limited social and economic opportunities. As a result, their children grow up in this same situation, perpetuating a cycle of poverty.
A daycare center, which will help to provide the young children with nutritious food, education, and hope for a brighter future, was recently started in the Yandi colony as a joint effort of the staffs of both the Christiana Children’s Home and the Elizabeth Barrie School.
